Guide our students

From mentoring and online profiles to delivering careers or industry talks and employing 91影视talent - your support really can make all the difference in inspiring and guiding our students and alumni.

There are lots of ways for you to get involved...

Other ways to inspire our students

Offer careers advice or guest lectures

If you are a specialist in a particular industry, have had experience in a specific field and/or you’ve had an interesting career journey related to your degree subject, we’d love to have you visit the campus to share your experiences, advice and guidance with the next generation of 91影视graduates.

You can support our current students by sharing your knowledge and experience during guest lectures in academic subject modules or at our various careers sessions and industry events. You could even inspire prospective 91影视students by speaking at one of our undergraduate Open Days for prospective students, our Applicant / Experience Days for offer holders or perhaps one of our postgraduate Open Evenings.

We’d love to have you on board - your experience and advice really could help to inspire our students towards their future career paths. When opportunities arise, we will typically make a request for speakers by email or via a message through our alumni network platform to those alumni who have indicated that they would be willing to help. Alternatively, you can email us with your availability and preferences and we can let you know what’s cropping up.

Research collaboration

We are happy to forward any requests onto the relevant University contacts should you have a proposal for a collaborative research project.

Please feel free to email us with the full details.

Alternatively, you are welcome to browse our 91影视research areas for information and contact details.

Professional voluntary opportunities

If you’re keen to develop some professional voluntary experience - whether it's to add to your CV and discuss in upcoming interviews or if you’re just looking to give back - we have plenty of opportunities cropping up to get involved with. Whether it’s delivering a talk about your career, providing industry insights or joining guest panels at one of our recruitment events, your support can make such difference to our current and prospective students in inspiring their study choices and career paths.
